To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 13–16 on July 14, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022

In America, our national motto is: “In God, We Trust.” Praise God that we have that as our national motto, although forces within the nation seek to remove it.
Having this as our national motto certainly follows Scripture, as David said to the Lord God in Psalm 16:
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
– Psalm 16.1
David also revealed why we want God as our trust: He preserves us. Empires rise because the God of heaven either allows them to rise or he causes them to rise. Therefore, if they no longer honor him, they have limited the time that they shall exist.
How about you? Have you spoken David’s words to God yourself?
- Why do you trust God?
- What does it mean to trust God?
