New Testament: Rom 1.26–27
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 1 on July 31, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
When people do not accept the scriptural presentation of God, they give themselves to things that break both his spiritual laws and his natural laws. Homosexuality is one such example:
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
– Romans 1.26–27
There it is in black and white: when women lust after women and when men lust after men, they change the natural use into what is against nature, contrary to the claims of the homosexual crowd who say that what they do is natural.
They end up suffering for their sin, but they blame others for it. They are just violating natural and spiritual laws, and when humans do so, they suffer the consequences.
Questions:
- Do you follow natural and spiritual laws?
- What should the homosexual do to correct his sin?
