New Testament: Rom 14.19
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 14 on August 15, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
As followers of Jesus Christ, we cannot wait for peace and edification to find us, but listen to what an apostle of Jesus Christ taught:
Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
– Romans 14.19
We do not wait for peace and edification to pursue us, but the Spirit by Paul taught that we go looking for peace and edification. That means we have to be thinking on those things, and thinking of ways to make peace and looking for ways to edify people.
Think of specific people and then see what you can do for them.
Questions:
- Do you wait for people to show you peace and to edify you, or do you think of ways to show these things to people?
- Do you know what it means to edify another person?
