New Testament: Rom 15.1–3
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 15.1–20 on August 16, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Are you strong in the faith? If so, Paul by the Spirit said to,
…bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
– Romans 15.1
Instead of pleasing ourselves, the goal of the religion of Jesus Christ is:
Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
– Romans 15.2
Should you really live that way? Yes,
For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.”
– Romans 15.3
If Jesus lived that way, you can live that way!
Questions:
- Are your reasons for being a Christian all about you or all about Christ and others?
- How did Jesus live?
- Was it about Him or the Father and others?
