Old Testament: Psa 122.1–2
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 120–123 on August 24, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Something made David glad. Actually, many things made him glad and virtually everything that made him glad was connected to the Lord, as in this case:
I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go into the house of the LORD.”
Our feet have been standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem!
– Psalm 122.1–2
From all the things that David said in the psalms written by him, he gives us the impression that there was no other place that he would rather be than the house of the Lord. The Lord meant everything to David. Therefore, whether it was reading the Lord’s word, or praying to the Lord, or singing to the Lord, or gathering with other believers and followers of the Lord, David was glad to participate in that event.
