New Testament: 1Co 13.12
To read the Bible in a year, read First Corinthians 13 on September 3, In the year of our Lord 2022
By Don Ruhl
Most people think that Paul wrote about heaven (or of Christ), in the latter part of First Corinthians 13, but if you follow his argument closely, you will discover that he wrote about the time when we would have the complete or full revelation of the truth, whereas in his generation, he only had part of the truth. Therefore, he said:
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
– 1 Corinthians 13.12
Once the full revelation of God’s word had appeared, we could know fully all that God wants us to know, and that time has come with the writing of the Book of Revelation.
Questions:
- What more does God have to reveal to us?
- Do you base your life on the Scriptures or upon some other form of knowledge?
