To whom should you talk about things in your life? Perhaps you just need to talk to someone, but you want someone who can keep it to himself. Consider what Solomon said: 

A talebearer reveals secrets,
But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.

– Proverbs 11.13

If the person is known as a talebearer, you better not tell him, because even if he promises not to tell anyone, he probably will since that is the kind of person that he is. 

On the other hand, search out someone whom you consider to be faithful, someone who will keep his word.
