Belief leads to speaking

New Testament: 2Co 4.13–14

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Corinthians 4 on September 12, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022

By Don Ruhl

As Paul spoke of what the apostles and other preachers endured, he wrote of what motivated him:

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.

– 2 Corinthians 4.13–14

Paul knew and believed that God raised Jesus from the dead and that he will also raise us up. Knowing and believing such things, Paul did all he could to make sure that the world knew of what is coming.

Questions:

  • Do you believe in the bodily resurrection?
  • Does your belief lead you to speak?
