Old Testament: Pro 15.10
To read the Bible in a year, read Proverbs 15–16 on September 9, In the year of our Lord 2022
By Don Ruhl
Sometimes the Lord has to exercise harsh discipline on us, but He does because we have gone astray from the right way,
Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way,
And he who hates correction will die.
– Proverbs 15.10
Nothing surpasses the Lord’s concern for our salvation. Therefore, when we forsake the way of salvation, He does what it takes to get our attention that we might come back to the Way. If, however, we hate discipline and if we do not heed that correction, we will die, we will lose our souls.
Questions:
- Do you need correction?
- How do you respond to it?
