New Testament: 2Co 6.16b
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Corinthians 6 on September 14, In the year of our Lord 2022

Sometime back I discovered a theme in the Bible that I have never seen anyone address. It starts in the Old Testament and the New Testament strengthens it and finally it finds its fulfillment in the Book of Revelation, meaning that in heaven we experience the fullness of this theme. Notice this quote from the New Testament that is actually a quote of the Old Testament, showing how it is a unified theme between the Testaments. Paul argued that Christians cannot be unequally yoked with unbelievers. He then said in support of that,
As God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
– 2 Corinthians 6.16b
The theme that you will find throughout Scripture is God promising:
- To dwell in His people
- To walk among His people
- To be their God
- For them to be His people
Questions:
- Are you one of God’s people?
- Do you know how to become one?
