Be more diligent

New Testament: 2Co 8.17

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Corinthians 8 on September 16, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022

By Don Ruhl

As Paul wrote to the Corinthian Christians about Titus, saying that he had earnest care for them, Paul added:

For he not only accepted the exhortation, but being more diligent, he went to you of his own accord.

– 2 Corinthians 8.17

Paul exhorted Titus to go to Corinth, but since Titus cared for them deeply, he was more diligent and went to see them of his own will. Yes, Paul exhorted him, but Titus wanted to go. He would have gone even if Paul had not exhorted him. That is Christian love.
