New Testament: Gal 6.14
To read the Bible in a year, read Galatians 6 on September 28, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Paul revealed to the Galatian churches that false teachers among them sought to boast in the conversions of the Galatians to the doctrine of the false teachers. However, Paul declared, and the Galatians knew it to be the truth:
But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
– Galatians 6.14
Paul boasted in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ because by means of the cross of Christ the world had been crucified to Paul and he had been crucified to the world. The world was dead to the apostle and the apostle was dead to the world. Therefore, he would boast in that which made it all possible, the cross of Jesus Christ.
