Old Testament: Isa 60.13–14
To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 59–61 on October 16, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022

Solomon wrote that the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous (Proverbs 13.22), and many other passages teach this truth, as this one does:
“The glory of Lebanon shall come to you,
The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together,
To beautify the place of My sanctuary;
And I will make the place of My feet glorious.
Also the sons of those who afflicted you
Shall come bowing to you,
And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet;
And they shall call you The City of the LORD,
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.”
– Isaiah 60.13–14
The earth continues to exist for the sake of the children of God. Whatever advances mankind makes, the Lord has allowed it for the benefit of his people, and not just that they might have a good life, but that they might be better able to expedite doing good works, especially evangelism.
Questions:
- How has the Lord blessed you with the earth or the people of the earth?
- Do you make yourself a blessing to the people in your community?
