New Testament: 1Ti 5.24–25
To read the Bible in a year, read First Timothy 5 on October 25, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
For some people, their sins are obvious, but others do not seem to sin. On the other hand, you can see some people’s works and for those that we do not see right away, the Lord sees them. The Scriptures teach:
Some men’s sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later. Likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden.
– 1 Timothy 5.24–25
One way or the other, what we do in the flesh will show up at the Judgment. The blessing of forgiveness is that our sins will not show up at the Judgment, if we have submitted to the Lord for forgiveness.
Concerning good works: Others may not see what you do, but you know that the Lord has seen those works and he will bless you for them.
Questions:
- Do you know how to have your sins forgiven?
- Are you active in doing good things for others?
