Old Testament: Jer 18.11
To read the Bible in a year, read Jeremiah 17–19 on October 26, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
The Lord had Jeremiah speak to his people, revealing that the Lord was putting together a terrible punishment for them, unless they returned to the Lord:
“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.”
– Jeremiah 18.11
The implication was that the Lord would not bring that disaster upon them, if they returned to him from their evil ways, and if they started making their ways and their doings good.
Questions:
- What can we learn from this passage in light of the adverse things going on today in the world?
- Are your ways and doings good?
