New Testament: 1Pe 3.18
To read the Bible in a year, read First Peter 3 on November 26, In the year of our Lord 2022
By Don Ruhl
Peter had said that it is better to suffer for doing good rather than for doing evil, and then he explained further,
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit…
– 1 Peter 3.18
Christ, our Master and Lord, suffered that we might be able to go to God. Why then would we consider it a hard thing to suffer for Him and for having done good in the lives of the people around us. If we suffer for doing good, we merely imitate His example.
Questions:
- Did you get discouraged when you suffered for doing good?
- Did you remember how Jesus suffered for doing the ultimate good?
