Old Testament: Exo 26.34

Exodus 26.34 impressed me because in one sentence it refers to three of the most sacred objects in the tabernacle: 

“You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy.”

– Exodus 26.34 

The Mercy Seat, the Ark of the Testimony, and the Most Holy Place, or I prefer to refer to it as the Holy of Holies. 

All the children of Israel could never see these items, but only the high priest could. All three of these were where the high priest would meet with God. That made all three very holy. 

If we could see these with our eyes, we would think that we are looking upon something super sacred, and we would have been right. 

Those things all represented what we truly have in heaven, and one day we shall see the God who met with the high priests among those sacred objects!
