New Testament: Luke 18.35–38
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 18.18–43 on April 22, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
Imagine being a blind man and you hear a crowd passing by, and after you inquire about what is going on, someone tells you that Jesus the Nazarene is walking by. What would you do?
Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
– Luke 18.35–38
I am sure that I would have done the same thing that this man did. However, let’s assume that you are not blind. What then would you request of Jesus?
Questions:
- Scripture calls Jericho the city of what?
- Did you know that Jericho is the oldest city in the world?
