10.10.2016 – New Testament: Col 2.16–17
To read the Bible in a year, read Colossians 2 on October 10, In the year of our Lord 2016

We have a difficult time understanding and using Genesis through Malachi. Some people completely write off that whole section of God’s word, saying simply that none of it has anything to do with Christians today. Then others try to bind things upon us that the Lord only meant as a shadow of the reality that we would have in Christ. Therefore, Paul said,
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ (Colossians 2.16–17).
Follow Christ and you shall do what He wants you to do. Keep meditating in the Scriptures, for in so doing, you will acquire the mind of Christ, and that is what matters.
Questions:
- What have you had to give up since coming to Christ?
- What have you not given up yet, and why do you still hold on to it?
- Do you read the Old Testament?
- If not, why not?
