Can we always find a reason to rejoice?

1 Thessalonians Bible Background

10.17.2017 – New Testament: 1Th 5.16

To read the Bible in a year, read First Thessalonians 5 on October 17, In the year of our Lord 2017

Life hits us hard sometimes, bringing sadness, frustration, and anger into our lives, but even as the Bible says to give thanks in all things, so it also says,

Rejoice always… (1 Thessalonians 5.16).

The Scripture reference uses more letters than the Scripture quotation does, but do not misjudge those two words as insignificant, for when the Holy Spirit says to rejoice always, then do as He says and rejoice always.

Even in difficult and trying situations, try to find reasons for rejoicing and watch what it does to your attitude.

Questions:

  • Are you generally a happy person or a sad person?
  • Are you able to see good in the ugliest of situations?
