The Lord uses sinners

Ezekiel Bible Background

11.30.2017 – Old Testament: Eze 44.10–14

To read the Bible in a year, read Ezekiel 43–44 on November 30, In the year of our Lord 2017

By Don Ruhl

The Lord described the ministers in the temple that He showed Ezekiel. In that temple, the Lord has a place for the Levites, although they had led Israel into sin,

“And the Levites who went far from Me, when Israel went astray, who strayed away from Me after their idols, they shall bear their iniquity. Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary…” (Ezekiel 44.10–14).

If the Lord did not use sinners, He would have no one to use. He would not use me because I have sinned. Yet, He forgives and restores and uses once again people who formerly had given themselves over to sin.

Questions:

  • Have you sinned?
  • Does the Lord use you?
