New Testament: Luke 16.14
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 16.1–18 on April 17, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
Jesus said that you cannot serve two masters, and then He specified that you cannot serve God and mammon, or money. Then Luke wrote:
Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.
– Luke 16.14
Jesus did not love money and He spoke against anyone who trusted in money. When you listen to His teachings, you hear the things of the Spirit, and Jesus treats money as only a servant. Therefore, if you love money, you will not like the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Questions:
- What do you think of the teachings of Jesus?
