When you hear the truth about people

Acts Bible Background

New Testament: Acts 11.18

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 11 on July 3, In the year of our Lord 2020

By Don Ruhl

The church confronted people over Peter going to the home of a Gentile and preaching to the Gentile. However, Peter explained how the Holy Spirit backed up what he did, and,

When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

– Acts 11.18

Instead of sticking to old ways of thinking, they examined the man and did not spread what they had heard and when he explained himself, they ceased their quarreling and gave glory to God.
