As COVID-19 spreads throughout the world, fear follows right behind it. Fear of that virus has even parallelized Christians so that many have turned to lives of seclusion.
Jesus had to talk to the disciples about fear once when they were on the Sea of Galilee and a storm arose that they feared would drown all of them. However, this happened:
But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
– Matthew 8.26–27
He knew that they feared because their faith was little. Then he demonstrated his power that they might have faith in him. Truly they were stunned by his power over nature.
- Are you a fearful person?
- Why is it that we tend not to rely on our faith?
