New Testament: John 2.23
To read the Bible in a year, read John 2 on May 9, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
Jesus did not perform miracles, to entertain people, and even healing was not his primary objective, but John shows why Jesus did signs:
Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did.
– John 2.23
Jesus did not come to heal bodies, but to heal spirits. However, people needed to see that he could heal, and that ultimately he is the Son of God, and to accomplish that he worked signs, whether it was healing someone or doing some other miracle.
Questions:
- What led you to believe in the name of Jesus?
- Are the miracles of the Bible sufficient to lead us into believing the truth about Jesus?
