God did not send his Son to be born of a woman, born under the Law, on a whim, but he had everything planned from before the foundation of the world. Here is evidence of that:
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations.
– Matthew 1.17
That gives the impression that God did things with a design in mind, he had a pattern that he wanted everything to be part of. The Christ came into the world at precisely the right time, for God knows what he is doing always, and he has a heart to save man from his sin and eventually from this planet.
