Trying to hide betrayal

New Testament: Mark 14.45

To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 14.26–50 on March 13, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022

By Don Ruhl

Judas may have thought that he had hidden his betrayal of Jesus in the following manner, but Jesus knew the truth:

As soon as he had come, immediately he went up to Him and said to Him, “Rabbi, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.

– Mark 14.45

What a way to betray your Teacher, making it seem as though you are honoring him, but Jesus had already told the remaining eleven disciples that this betrayal was coming, because he knows all things and he knew all things since he was God in the flesh.

Questions:

  • Can we hide anything from the Lord Jesus Christ?
  • What have you tried to hide from him?
