The Lord gave a married couple a son, whom they raised in the Lord, and he became a great judge for Israel: 

So the woman bore a son and called his name Samson; and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him. And the Spirit of the LORD began to move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

– Judges 13.24–25 

Although Samson did some things that he should not have done, yet, he lived by faith, knowing that the Lord was with him. That made him fearless and so he delivered Israel from an enemy nation, and functioned as a judge among them. 

Bring up your children in the Lord and see what happens.

• In what way did the Lord bless Samson?
