What do you do when you know why someone is accusing of some misdeed? If you know for sure what their motive is, you can do what Paul did: 

“Or else let those who are here themselves say if they found any wrongdoing in me while I stood before the council, unless it is for this one statement which I cried out, standing among them, ‘Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am being judged by you this day.’”

– Acts 24.20–21 

Paul knew that the Jews objected to his preaching that the resurrection will happen through Jesus of Nazareth. Therefore, he came right out and said it. They had a problem with him because he preached the resurrection of the day. 

That might seem as though it was not such a serious offense, but that might be because the idea of the resurrection is common to you, whereas, for people for whom it was not common knowledge or who did not accept that it will happen through Jesus, it becomes a major issue, for which they were willing to kill Paul!

• Do you believe that you shall be resurrected at the last day? 
• Have you always accepted that there shall be a resurrection? 
• If not, what changed your belief?
