Old Testament: Psa 73.17
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 73–74 on August 4, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Psalm 73 is interesting because it records the thoughts of Asaph, the psalmist, as he contemplated how he sought to please God, but did not do well in life, whereas the wicked have no thoughts of God, yet, they seem to do well. That troubled him greatly, but then something turned him around and it was this:
Until I went into the sanctuary of God;
Then I understood their end.
– Psalm 73.17
When he assembled with his brethren and heard the word read, he then saw that the end of the wicked is not the same as what they experience in life. He learned what they experience from God later, and discovered that they find destruction, whereas God blesses the godly man.
