Old Testament: Psa 102.1–2
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 99–102 on August 14, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
You pray and pray, but you begin to think that perhaps the Lord is not hearing you or even that he is hiding from you. The psalmist knew exactly what you think:
Hear my prayer, O LORD,
And let my cry come to You.
Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble;
Incline Your ear to me;
In the day that I call, answer me speedily.
– Psalm 102.1–2
Do what the psalmist did and speak to the Lord of the urgency of your matter, and plead with him to work that you might be delivered from your trouble.
Questions:
- Do you remember to thank God when he answers your prayers?
- Can you say honestly that you pour out your heart to God in prayer?
