We both come from God

New Testament: 1Co 11.11–12

To read the Bible in a year, read First Corinthians 11.1–16 on August 31, In the year of our Lord 2022

By Don Ruhl

Men and women are not independent of one another, for although woman first came from man, so now man comes from woman, but see the source of us all:

Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.

– 1 Corinthians 11.11–12

Therefore, neither one of us can boast of being better than the other, for God gave us both our starts and He is the One who maintains us. Praise Him, not our specific gender.

Questions:

  • Do you see the opposite sex as a creation of God?
  • How should you treat a creation of God?
