The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

– Proverbs 1.7 

Fearing the Lord puts everything you learn in perspective. It will show you that there is a purpose for knowing what you will come to know and that all you know you should use in service to the Lord.
