Look over your life as a faithful Christian. Do you see that while you had some struggles, and you may not have been sure that you were going to make it, but you did, and now you are a better person for it? It is because God was working in your life: 

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

– 2 Corinthians 2.14 

You may not have even gained anything out of the experience, but someone else did. Praise God that he diffused his knowledge through you to the people around you.
