New Testament: Eph 1.17
To read the Bible in a year, read Ephesians 1 on September 29, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
When Paul heard how the Ephesians were doing after he left, it touched him that they still had their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that they continued to love all the saints. That moved him to speak a prayer for their growth in spiritual things. He began this way:
…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him…
– Ephesians 1.17
He wanted them to have a spirit of wisdom and that they would have a revelation in knowing God. Those are deep things.
Questions:
- Could Paul have prayed for anything greater?
- For what do you pray for others?
