New Testament: Col 2.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Colossians 2 on October 10, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Paul wanted the Colossians to know something, and if you read him carefully, you will notice that he wanted you to know the same thing:
For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh.
– Colossians 2.1
As a preacher of the gospel, Paul suffered great things to make sure that the people in Colossae, Laodicea, and a third group heard the good news about Jesus and his salvation.
Did you hear who the third group is? The third group was, “as many as have not seen [Paul’s] face in the flesh.” That is us!
Paul and countless other Christians over the centuries, and during our generation, sacrificed much, including spending themselves and all that they have to make sure that we can hear the good news of the Kingdom of Christ and that we might have everything we need to remain strong.
- Do you know the history of your congregation?
- How much do you know about church history?
