New Testament: Col 3.21
To read the Bible in a year, read Colossian 3 on October 11, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Sometimes us fathers can be hard on our children and they may think that they cannot please us at all. Therefore, the Scripture says:
Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
– Colossians 3.21
If our treatment of our children leads them to become discouraged, then we must be provoking them or doing something else wrong. Let us remember that they are only children. Yes, sometimes they act younger than their age, but sometimes we expect them to act older than their age. Be patient and gentle, and see how they do in life.
Questions:
- How did your father treat you?
- If you did not have a father around, how did your mother or someone else treat you as you grew up?
