Old Testament: Exo 28.39
To read the Bible in a year, read Exodus 27–28 on February 1, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
If you had been chosen to work on the tabernacle, would you not have done your best? Notice what the Lord told Moses about some of the clothing that the priests would wear:
“You shall skillfully weave the tunic of fine linen thread, you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the sash of woven work.”
– Exodus 28.39
Knowing that ultimately you were doing this for the Lord, although it was a man who was wearing it, you would be careful to use your best skill possible, for having done so, you would bring glory to God.
Paul said in Colossians 3.23: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men…”
We do not make clothing for the levitical priests, but we do other things and we should do them as though we are doing them to the Lord.
Questions:
- Do you work as Paul said that we should work?
- Do you like working with your hands?
