Old Testament: Lev 26.45
To read the Bible in a year, read Leviticus 26–27 on February 18, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
Leviticus 26 records the blessings that God promised to pour out on the children of Israel, if they obeyed, and the curses that he promised to pour out on them as well, if they disobeyed him.
Then the Lord promised that he would remember the covenant that he had made with Israel:
“But for their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.”
– Leviticus 26.45
That is the Lord for you, always thinking of man, whether ancient Israel or the world, whether man is following him or not. God loves relentlessly.
He loves without ceasing because he wanted to be Israel’s God, and he wants to be our God today.
Questions:
- Is the God of the Bible your God?
- Are you in a covenant relationship with him?
